Fire Alarms 1 - Just What You Need To Know

Greenbrier, AR

This fire alarm class will provide a good overview of fire alarm requirements.  The course will cover spacing criteria of strobes, horns, speakers, and detection devices.  An overview of circuit wiring, Class A/B circuits, reliability, and voltage drop.  We will review types of detection and what is best for what situation.  We will also cover the new changes within the Americans with Disabilities Act that impact fire alarms.  Content of this class has been slightly modified from previous classes to incorporate suggestions and to integrate with modules 2 and 3.  Our number one past suggestion was to offer more detailed classes in plan review and inspections.

This course is a must for engineers, architects, fire marshal's, building plan reviewers, general contractors, electrical contractors, facility owners, and anyone who wants to understand the fundamental requirements for fire alarm systems.  This course is a good introduction for new fire alarm technicians.  This course is not geared towards nor intended for preparation of qualification exams.
