May 2006 * Fire Alarms 3 - System Inspection Greenbrier, AR - Not Currently Scheduled This fire alarm class will expand on our Fire Alarms 1 and 2 class. o Pre-requisite: Individual should have a good understanding of reading fire alarm plans, and recognizing code deficiencies. o Review of audibility requirements o Review of visual notification requirements o Review of allowable wire types such as in plenum spaces o How to use and read a volt meter (understand why the values are negative) o Proper use of canned smoke for testing smoke detectors o Testing for troubles, Class A/B wiring, T taps, and more o Finding the hidden violations o Plan to include critique of existing building system This course is a must for engineers and their staff who perform site inspections, fire marshal's, building inspectors, general contractors, electrical contractors, facility owners, and anyone responsible or interested in learning how to functionally test a system for trouble conditions, short-cuts, improper wiring, overloaded circuits, poor audibility, speech intelligibility, and more. Cost: $150 before ?? ??th, $170 after ?? ??th ??. Select "Buy Now" to make payment. This class will be presented at our training facility in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Located 45 minutes north of Little Rock, or just 10 minutes north of Conway on Hwy 65. Our facility provides a comfortable learning environment with tables and chairs selected specifically for training. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Lunch is not provided. Session starts promptly at 8:00am and will run to approximately 5:00pm. Please bring a copy of NFPA 72 (1999, 2002, or 2007 edition will work). Calculators will be used and will be available for your use. Refund Policy Refunds will be provided for written cancellations up to 11 business days prior to seminar date. After this time, no refunds will be given. You may substitute any attendee. Although not anticipated, we reserve the right to cancel a class. This may be due to insufficient registered attendees, or other conditions beyond our control. If a class is canceled, a full refund for seminar fees will be given. Every attempt will be maid to notify attendees two weeks prior to the seminar.
CSA provides code related seminars. These are usually half to full day classes providing general overviews of critical areas. Classes are generally geared towards electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, architects, electrical contractors, plan reviewers, inspectors, general contractors, and owners. Note: These classes are not intended for those who will be taking qualification assessments. Qualification assessments require knowledge beyond the general scope of these seminars.
