CSA is dedicated to helping the Authority Having Jurisdiction achieve code compliance through plan review, qualified contractors, and inspections.

CSA develops assessments based on the needs of jurisdictions.  If you have specific needs, we can help.

THIRD-PARTY PLAN REVIEW:

AHJ’s often receive substantial pressure due to rejecting plans for violations, holding up construction while waiting on re-submittals, or delaying occupancy from failed inspections.  Outsourcing these duties can reduce internal pressures while allowing code officials such as fire inspectors to focus on existing occupancies.

Outsourcing plan reviews allow city officials such as mayors and city managers to avoid many of the phone calls encountered from frustrated developers looking to blame someone else.  Code compliance must satisfy the third-party review / inspection agency and not necessarily the political structure of city officials.

Jurisdictions that have limited staffing, or staff members that have not yet been able to obtain formal code training and experience can significantly benefit through outsourcing code services.  Staff members gain code experience from comments, marked up plans, and inspection reports.

AHJ’s who outsource services to CSA have direct access to CSA staff and resources to assist with code questions.

QUALIFICATION ASSESSMENTS:

Looking for a tool to identify if your contractors are qualified?  CSA has been evaluating contractor qualifications since 2002.  Our assessments are delivered daily at over 220 U.S. proctored locations.  Some locations are open late and even on Saturdays for the contractors convenience.  Unlike other organizations, we do not require lengthy applications or pages of references.  Our process is simple for the contractor, yet thorough for your needs.  We provide photo ID cards so you know that the individual has satisfied minimum qualifications.  We include the company's name on the card so the AHJ knows who’s insurance and permit applies to the work being performed.

Visit our “Assessments” page for more information.
